About Safety Training Woodworking
Safety Training Woodworking was set up to respond to the needs of the woodworking industry by John Gubb in 1994.
John had, for the previous 20 years, been involved in the education and training of woodcutting machinists, joinery and furniture makers whilst retaining a link with industry and research. He remained up to date with both industry and education.

All of our certified operator training courses can be tailored to suit people with a wide range of skills and abilities of the machining and manufacturing process such as taking off, cleaning and maintaining, loading and feeding, and toolroom operatives.
Safety Training Woodworking are based in the East Midlands, and within close proximity to the M1, ideally situated to cover the whole of the UK.
Our Services
We offer: Certified Machine training, PUWER/Risk assessments and Qualitive face fit testing where respiratory protective equipment (RPE) is used as a control measure under the Health and Safety Legislation. All our courses include the provision of a training booklet with detailed information and illustrations and important safety aspects specific to that machine.
Operator training
Accident rates within the woodworking sector are among the highest in manufacturing.
Although you have a legal responsibility for the safety of your workforce, it also makes good business sense to promote safer working practices resulting in less down time and more efficient practice.
